Overview
This instrument is a collection of portable and fully-digital ultrasonic flaw detector. The two models in the series - high version and low version - all have the capacity to detect, localize and evaluate various defects in metals with rapidity and precision. Particularly, it is highly effective in the detection of welds, cracks, inclusions, and metal porosity in a non-destructive manner that is suitable for laboratory or project site environments. The detector's wide variety of applications can be highly useful for defect detection and quality control in manufacturing, steel metallurgy, metal processing and chemical engineering, among other industries. Moreover, it can also be widely used for in-service safety inspections and live assessments in aircraft, railway and traffic industries, as well as boiler and pressure vessels.

In order to ensure safe operation of the instrument, the operator should have comprehensive knowledge of non-destructive testing.

Thank you very much for using our Digital Ultrasonic Flaw Detector. The instrument adopts state-of-the-art integrated circuit technology and a new TFT color display, each of which meets or exceeds internationally accepted performance targets. The instrument is programmed with a user-oriented interface that is straight-forward and intuitive to use. In order to correctly operate the ultrasonic flaw detector, please read this operating manual and other supplied information carefully before initial use.

It has two models - high version and low version - that correspond to low and high configurations. Users can refer to the operating manual according to their specific model.

Prior to first-use, please check carefully whether the instruments and accessories are consistent with the packing list - if not, please contact us. Please also carefully read the operating manual to ensure that you understand the rights and services you may be entitled to.

The Digital Ultrasonic Flaw Detector offers high speed, high accuracy, high efficiency, high reliability, and real-time operation in a digital interface. The detector contains the most up-to-date technology and has the following features:
 A user-oriented interface with a multi-function shortcuts, menu operation and a rotating navigation wheel.
 A 5.7-inch TFT color screen with adjustable color and bright settings.
 A small and light portable battery that can be charged anytime for use in any environment.
 Multi-channel testing with the option to save channels.
 Large capacity for waveform storage and the ability to load waveforms.  The capacity to record and store high-speed videos.
 Automatic readings capture with moving gates.
 Adjust the gain conveniently using gain subtraction shortcuts (users can also access the preset parameters with one key).
 Automatic calibration for various probe parameters.  A no order limit for point in DAC and AVG curves.
 Fully adjustable pulse transmission (amplitudes and widths) with built-in support to block pulses and transmit sharp pulses.
 Impedance matching for different requirements of sensitivity and resolution.
 Four work modes: normal probe, angle probe, dual-crystal straight probe and transmission probe.

Aperture: auto-calculate aperture flaws (i.e. Ф values) (only high version) n AWS function: directly display defect classifications.
Weld diagrammatic presentation: directly display the sectional distribution of weld defects during weld testing (only high version).
Automatic DAC and AVG generation: automatically find the highest wave of the defect and automatically calculate equivalent Ф by normal/angle probe.
Video function: record, save and play waveform in real-time.
Defect location: values for horizontal value (L), depth (H) and sound path (S).
Defect quantitative analysis: flexible display according to an adjustabl
reference.
Defect qualitative analysis: real-time estimates and judgements of envelope waveform.
Curved surface correction: automatic correction and conversion of curved surfaces (only high version)
Broadening function: user-adjustable ability to broaden the waveform selection.

Caution
 
Refrain from powering on and off repeatedly - please wait for 5s before powering on again.
Avoid strong vibrations, impacts or strong magnetic fields.
Do not leave the detector in high temperature, high humidity or corrosive gas environments.
Do not overexert operation of detector keys, and minimise operation of keys with oily or muddy hands.
Contact dealers if problems in the detector arise.
 
Proper Maintenance
 
After using the detector, clean the detector surface and put it in a dry environment.
The probe cable should not be loaded with heavy loads. Always hold the head of the plug when inserting or removing the cable.
Charge and discharge the battery for at least one or two hours every month to ensure optimal battery function.
Keep the device away from damp environments.
When moving with the detector, avoid falling, strong vibrations, rain or snow.
Do not wipe the surface of the detector with corrosive solvents.
